Jennifer Hudson fans have been waiting for her third studio album, 'JHUD,' for quite some time but the wait seems to be over.

The songstress has revealed the date for the project -- Sept. 23 via RCA Records. 'JHUD' serves as the follow-up to her 2011 album, 'I Remember Me.' Hudson also debuts the album's cover art, which shows her looking pretty fierce standing tall in front of the Chicago skyline and wearing an ornate leather jacket, her hair slicked back.

Hudson tells WPGC that this third LP explores various facets of her life. "It’s different expressions of me as an artist, a girl, a music lover,” she says in the interview.

'JHUD' features the Pharrell-produced track, 'I Can't Describe (The Way I Feel),' with an assist from T.I.; 'Walk It Out,' which brings on the production talents of Timbaland; and 'It's Your World,' her duet with R. Kelly. 'Dangerous' and 'He Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere' have also been confirmed to be on the album's tracklist.
