JAY-Z is loaning out his 40/40 Club for a great cause— a charity event put on by the Puerto Rican Family Institute and Big & Little Skills Academy.

The private, invite-only event is aimed at raising money for the island, which as devastated by Hurricane Maria. Many of the residents still have no gas, electricity or access to fresh water. This latest news is no surprise, as Jay has been a huge supporter of hurricane victims this season, particularly in Texas, Florida and now Puerto Rico.

Already, Tidal is taking donations to to fill a charter plane with 20,000 pounds of goods to take to the island.  Tidal’s partnership to assist in Puerto Rico finds the streaming company teaming with Governor Andrew Cuomo.

“Tidal, in partnership with [New York] Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Empire State Relief and Recovery Effort, has announced the start of the TIDAL X: Puerto Rico initiative with the charter of a cargo plane that will bring much needed supplies to aid in the recovery and relief in Puerto Rico,” the company said in a statement. “Leaving on Friday, October 7th, this first plane will carry 200,000 pounds of batteries, flashlights, portable lanterns, diapers, baby wipes, cases of water and feminine hygiene products.”

Additionally, Jay's annual Tidal benefit concert taking place on Oct. 17 will also raise money for hurricane relief. Performances at the benefit will include Jay, Vic Mensa, Cardi B, DJ Khaled and more.
