Jay-Z
has been on his UK kick this year, landing headlining spots at both the Isle of Wight and Wireless festivals in addition to taking home top honor at the Brit Awards in February. But that might only be the beginning.

In a recent interview with GQ UK, White Stripes singer Jack White dropped news that he had recently recorded a new track with the Brooklyn rapper. "I just did a record with Jay-Z," White told GQ. "We did a song together a few weeks ago. It was incredible-sounding." The unexpected collaboration marks the Brit singer's first hip-hop work, but he told GQ that the project came together seamlessly. "I played him something that I've been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it," he said. "It's unbelievable."

Besides his obvious enthusiasm for the song, White gave no further details, leaving fans in the dark about when or on which album it would be released.

Jay-Z will play two dates on his BP3 tour in the UK on June 7 and 9, followed by performances at the Isle of Wight and Wireless festivals on June 11 and July 4 respectively.
