After a seven-year hiatus, Chris Rock is back in the director's chair for his upcoming romantic comedy 'Top Five.' The veteran comedian released a hilarious trailer for the film, which features music from Jay Z and Wiz Khalifa.

In the hilarious clip, Rock plays Andre Allen, a famous comedian (talk about typecasting) who is in a career crisis. He wants to convince audiences that he's a serious dramatic actor after playing a superhero bear in the crappy 'Hammy the Bear' franchise. ("It's Hammy Time" is the running gag).

"I don't feel like doing funny movies anymore. I don't feel funny," says Rock in the trailer. He's then pursued by a New York Times reporter (played by Rosario Dawson) who supports his career change.

Meanwhile, Allen's fiancee Erica Long (played by the gorgeous Gabrielle Union) wants to showcase their wedding on her reality show, which could be a career disaster for him. Things get even more complicated when he Allen starts to fall for the Times reporter.

The trailer also features some funny moments from fellow comedians Cedric the Entertainer and Kevin Hart. At the end, there's a heated conversation about Allen's Top Five MCs: Jay-Z, Nas, Scarface, Rakim and Biggie. "My sixth man is LL Cool J," says Rock. "Before the show!"

Rock's 'Top Five' was picked up by Paramount after it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews. Rappers Kanye West and Jay Z are credited as co-producers on the film, and the trailer features a snippet of their collaborative hit 'N----s in Paris.' Also, Wiz Khalifa's 'Work Hard, Play Hard' is featured.

'Top Five' will open in theaters on Dec. 12 just in time for the holiday season.
