Jay Z has just inked a major TV and movie deal with the Weinstein Company.

The mogul signed a two-year deal with the company, today that will give them first-look privileges at a variety of his projects, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jay already has numerous projects in development, including sharing production credits on an upcoming HBO film on the life of Emmett Till, though there's been no confirmation that the Weinstein Company will be involved.

"I'm excited to tell stories from real-life prophets, whom through their struggles have changed the world for the better, and others whose stories are filled with fantasy and delight," Jay Z in a press release Thursday. "Harvey and David [Weinstein] are visionaries both of whom have done this time and time again. I'm already passionate about what we currently have in the pipeline and I'm looking forward to discovering others."

The deal is said to include both scripted and unscripted TV and movie projects, which see Jay as the producer. Jay previously earned producer credit on several films including Chris Rock's Top Five, Leonardo DiCaprio's The Great Gatsby and Annie with Quvenzhané Wallis and Jamie Fox.

"[Jay Z] approaches every aspect of his career with both determination and effortlessness, making him one of the leading power players in entertainment history," Weinstein Company co-chair Harvey Weinstein told THR Thursday. "We already have some exceptional projects in the works and are excited to see what more is to come."
