Janelle Monae's sophomore effort, 'The Electric Lady,' isn't out until next week (Sept. 10), but the songstress is offering a full stream of the album right now.

The record comes equipped with one hell of a guest lineup that includes the likes of Prince, Erykah Badu, and Miguel across the 19 tracks. For the most part, however, it's about Monae, her future-centric approach to lyricism and songwriting, and her impressive pipes.

As fans of Monae's previous releases know full well, she loves to deliver something with plenty of variety. This leads to her dabbling in a slew of genres, including funk, R&B, hip-hop, and jazz, often in the same track ('Electric Lady,' for one). There are also some buttery throwback-pop tunes on here, like caffeinated single 'Dance Apocalyptic,' and bedroom-ready balladry, the Miguel-featured 'Primetime.'

In other words, if you like your R&B with plenty of diversity, you need to hear 'The Electric Lady. So hit play on embed below and enjoy.
