Jaden Smith is continuing to make bold moves in the fashion game as he becomes the new face for Louis Vuitton's SS16 womenswear ad campaign.

The luxury fashion brand's artistic director, Nicolas Ghesquière, announced the news on Instagram by unveiling Smith's look. In the photo, Smith dons a motorcycle jacket with a black metal embroidered skirt -- both of which are in this year's collection.

It's clear Smith is all for gender fluidity. Last year, the 17-year-old rapper-actor also wore a skirt when he accompanied actress Amandla Stenberg to her prom. And for the most part he's been celebrated for it.

"Jaden Smith the GOAT for his Louis Vuitton campaign participation. I love how he's destroying the gender barriers in fashion," tweeted one fan. "I have so much respect to Jaden Smith for stepping out of the gender role," tweeted another.

Others have questioned whether the brand is truly being progressive since they paired the collection with a gender. One follower tweeted, "Jaden smith wearing skirts is great, but if u call it 'womenswear' that genders it. we're trying to break down barriers, not build them."

There were a few people who found Jaden's bold fashion choices disappointing and blamed his father for it. One person tweeted, "[Will Smith] I love you but you failed." One tweeter mocked Smith and likened him to Riley from The Boondocks, when the character wore a purse and skirt to mimic a rapper who turned out to be gay.
