Ja Rule & Irv Gotti Talk Life After Prison With The Breakfast Club
After spending two years behind bars as inmate 07608730Q at Ray Brook Federal Prison in New York, Ja Rule did his first official interview alongside The Inc. CEO, Irv Gotti, with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club. The Inc. MC opened up to Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee discussing the hardships of his marriage, and the strains he wife endured while he was locked up because of his "selfish" behavior. Ja also talks about his relationship with Ashanti, and the letters he would write her while he was away. While he was angry when she left The Inc. crew when things got rough, the New York rapper says he's "got a clean slate," reports Power 105.1, because "he doesn't want to be 'bitter or resentful'."
Unfortunately, Irv Gotti explains he doesn't share the same "clean" feelings about Ashanti as Ja Rule. He told the morning show crew he "loves and hates hard," and it was hard for him to watch the singer-turned-actress just walk away.
Aside from personal revelations and feelings, The Inc. crew dished on everything from the beef with 50 Cent to business regrets regarding Drake and Nicki Minaj. Take a look at the two-part interview below.
