Representatives for New Orleans rapper Turk have addressed rumors that the incarcerated rapper has signed with Lil Wayne's Young Money label.

While Turk finishes a 10-year sentence for his involvement in the 2004 shooting of a Memphis S.W.A.T. team member, his reps deny he will be signing with his former Hot Boys partner. Instead, they've announced Turk will be starting his own label upon his release.

"Turk will be released very soon and he has his own label, YNT," revealed his rep. "He does look forward to a Hot Boy Reunion but there is no truth in rumors of him signing at this time. For updates on Turk's projects, fans may visit his official twitter page"

The face of hip-hop has changed drastically since Turk went away -- Cash Money's young prodigy Lil Wayne is now an industry kingpin, and social networking holds more weight than street cred. However, Turk recently released a short freestyle over Weezy's '6 Foot 7 Foot' single, calling in his verse over a prison phone without missing a step, proving that he will still have a place in the industry when he finishes his sentence.

Featuring Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G. and Turk, the Hot Boys were Cash Money's flagship group, releasing hit singles like 'Bling Bling' and 'Tha Block is Hot.'
