After postponing her The Great Escape Tour until the fall, Iggy Azalea has now scrapped the trek altogether.

According to Billboard, a statement was released to ticket holders on Friday (May 29) to inform them of the bad news. The statement reportedly reads:

"The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase. There will be a new tour planned around Iggy's new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience."

Fans were assured that monies from the ticket sales would be refunded. Azalea also confirmed the news to her fans via her Twitter account. She tweeted:

We must add that the Aussie rapper's scheduled performances at summer festivals like the Pittsburgh Pride, Ottawa Bluesfest, Québec Summer Festival and others are still a go. So if you want to check her out live this summer the aforementioned festivals are your best bet.

It's been a bumpy year for the "Fancy" rapper so far. The 24-year-old rapper continues to be criticized for "authenticity" in rap. Recently, a petition was posted online to have her Billboard Music Awards rescinded because she didn't follow the guidelines.

Iggy Azalea's reps had no official comment on why the tour was canceled altogether.
