Legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash doesn't plan on resting on his status as a hip-hop icon. Flash is scheduled to release, 'The Bridge: Concept of a Culture,' his first album in over 20 years, on March 3, 2009.

The album will feature an impressive lineup of contemporary, as well as old school artists, including Snoop Dogg, Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, and more.

"As a DJ, I've been blessed to see many different people, places and styles," Flash said in a statement. "The album title represents all the bridges I've crossed worldwide.

In 2007, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five made history when they became the first hip-hop act inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Run-DMC hope to become the next hip-hop act enshrined in the HOF. The group are among the nine nominees vying for a chance to be inducted in January.
