Looks like Maroon 5 is trying to make a statement with their upcoming album—they really love hip-hop.

After dropping "Don't Wanna Know" with Kendrick Lamar last year, the band has hooked up with Future for their latest ditty, "Cold," which frontman Adam Levine revealed would be debuted on Ellen.

Produced by Benny Blanco and Steve Mac, the song is about a love that's gone cold, as Levine croons that he feels he doesn't know his lover anymore.

"I don't understand why you're so cold," he sings on the hook.

Meanwhile, Future raps about love lost.

"Never thought that you were like this/I took the tag off of and made you priceless/I just spent half a mill' on a chandelier/Now you tryna cut me off like a light switch, yeah/Trying to stay, and I leave/Saying that you need some time to breathe," Future rhymes on the dance track.

The track comes just in time for Future's announcement that he's dropping a self-titled album this Friday (Feb. 17). Take a listen to the song above.
