Frankie P Taps Bodega Bamz & Camille Safiya for 'Machete Music'

Producer Frankie P isn't a household name just yet, but you've heard his sound if you're a rap fan.

The studio maverick has produced songs for A$AP Ferg ('Make a Scene,' 'F--- Out My Face') and indie rappers like Audubon ('Smoke Signals,' 'Chopped Cheese'). Now Frankie releases a cutting new track called ‘Machete Music,’ off his upcoming compilation mixtape, 'Sancocho Vol. 1.'

The slow grooving song, driven by Bodega Bamz's rhymes and Camille Safiya's soulful vocals, features knocking drums and majestic guitars. Bamz recalls various females he's come across, each with different personalities.

“She's one with nature, I respect her handle / She only f--- in the dark / Kama Sutra, candles is lit / Machete under her pillow, I asked why / To protect herself, she respect herself,” he raps.

Frankie P is set to drop his 'Sancocho Vol. 1’ mixtape on Dec. 29. The collection will feature contributions from A$AP Ferg, Audubon, GLC, Al-Doe and Crystal Caines, among others.
