Former Destiny's Child member Farrah Franklin was arrested for disorderly conduct in Culver City, Calif. over the weekend.

TMZ is reporting that the singer was busted at around 6:45AM on Saturday (April 24), following an alcohol-induced situation. Although details surrounding her arrest are scarce, Franklin was taken into custody and released on bail later in the day.

Leading up to the incident in question, Franklin tweeted that she was out with her family. "In Culver City having Dinner with my 2 cousins today is both their birthdays," she wrote. Franklin later informed her followers that she was no longer in possession of her cell phones, but failed to make mention of the arrest.

The Los Angeles native was officially announced as one of two new members of Destiny's Child in 2000, along with Michelle Williams. Franklin and Williams replaced former members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett, appearing in the 'Say My Name' video. After just five months, Franklin was "unceremoniously dismissed" from the group at the hands of Mathew Knowles.

In 2002, Franklin signed a record deal with Fo-Reel Records, but was later dropped. In the years since her departure from the spotlight, Franklin has since been focusing on a burgeoning acting career, appearing in film and television.

She is set to drop her debut album sometime this year.
