Indie rapper, producer and Def Jux founder El-P has announced that he will be releasing a new instrumental album, influenced by the work of legendary Detroit producer Dilla.

The record, 'Weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixxx3,' marks the first solo album that El-P has released on a label other than his own since his days in Company Flow. It will be released by the indie label Gold Dust Media on August 3.

El has released several instrumental albums in the past, including his eccentric 'Little Johnny from the Hospitul' in 1998 and much more accessible 'Collecting the Kid' in 2005. Similar to 'Little Johnny,' 'Hell3' is an album of El's back stock that's was pieced together in an effort to show his "sonic worldview."

"I wanted to do little mini-movements that had a real beginning, middle and end and then moved on," El explained. "The challenge for me was taking all these seemingly unrelated little pieces of music I had laying around and fitting them together as a cohesive piece. I wanted to craft a record that had an arc."As for Dilla's influence on the album, the El explained that it wasn't so much Dilla's sound, but his approach, that inspired him with this release.

"Like 'Donuts,' I wanted to keep things short and to the point," El-P said. "I think that's an aspect of instrumental music that so many more people can relate to. I didn't want anyone to listen to this record and at any point get bored."

'Hell3' will be out in August, to be followed soon after by El-P's next full-length. Check out the tracklist below.
