El DeBarge Arrest for Drug Possession Dismissed by Los Angeles District Attorney

El DeBarge was arrested Tuesday (March 20) for narcotics possession yet a Los Angeles County District Attorney has dismissed the charges. The Detroit native's case was rejected due to insufficient evidence against him.

TMZ reports that DeBarge and another man were witnessed by police engaging in conversation on an L.A. street. Without cause, the officers reportedly searched the two men and came up empty-handed, according to court documents. Cops subsequently searched the surrounding area and found a bag of rock cocaine underneath a vehicle.

The man with the 'Lay With Me' crooner admitted he was at the location to purchase cocaine from the latter. However, DeBarge denied his accusations. As a result, the D.A. said the evidence against the singer was insufficient and dismissed all charges.
