Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’-Inspired Ugly Christmas Sweatshirts Are Selling Out
Drake's "Hotline Bling" is still causing hysteria. While Drizzy sold his own line of hats and hoodies based on the track, another T-shirt company is adding some holiday spirit to the rapper's chart-topping song with their designer sweatshirts.
Tony Madalon, owner of Fresh Brewed Tees, released a set of "ugly" sweatshirts in lime green and bubblegum pink in his spin. "I know when that sleigh bell ring it can only mean 1 thing," reads the sweatshirt - a play of the song's verse, "I know when that hotline bling."
There's also a digitalized photo of Drizzy in his red bomber jacket and a Santa Claus' hat doing one of his infamous dance moves, which spawned thousands of internet memes. A number of sleigh bells are also decorated around him as Christmas lights hang over his head.
According to TMZ, the sweatshirts have become nearly as popular as the song and are quickly selling out in the company's online store. "We're told the customer response has been insane, selling more than $20k in merch in just a couple hours," states the gossip website. Not bad since the sweatshirts were crafted by Madalon and his design team only a few weeks ago.
And luckily fans won't have to give an arm-and-a-leg to snag one of these sweatshirts. Whether it's for yourself, a significant other or a goof gift for that special Drake fan in your life, the sweatshirt is affordable at $49.99 a pop.
