Drake Requested Restaurant to Play JAY-Z’s ‘4:44′ Album While He Dined
Everybody loves JAY-Z’s new album 4:44, even his fellow rap peers. Case in point: While Drake was dining at a Baltimore restaurant, he requested the eatery to play Hov’s album on the loudspeaker.
On Thursday (June 29), the Toronto rapper was at Azumi restaurant in Baltimore with his five friends enjoying a feast of grilled octopus, Rock Shrimp Tempura and Lobster Tempura. Drizzy himself was chowing down on Ribeye, Maryland Signature Roll and a Lychee Martini.
Then he requested Jay’s 4:44 album, which dropped at midnight on Friday (June 30). The establishment obliged him and played the album for him on the patio speakers, reports The Baltimore Sun.
“While we normally have our own DJ's music playing through the speakers, we were able to accommodate him and they listened to Jay Z's 4:44 album in its entirety,” said Joe Sweeney, a spokesperson for Atlas Restaurant Group, which owns the Japanese restaurant.
A Drake fan named @XOXOCandiice was also at the restaurant and was able to snagged a selfie with the rap superstar and possible tickets to the 2017 OVO Fest. She recounted her meeting with Drake on her Twitter account (click below).
