As expected, Drake’s Views premiered atop the Billboard 200 chart this week. The collection moved 851,000 copies last week, making him the top-selling artist of 2016 (sorry, Beyonce).

According to Billboard, this will be the Toronto rapper’s sixth time at the top spot with a musical project. In 2015, he debuted twice at No. 1 with If You Are Reading This It’s Too Late and his collaborative project with Future, What a Time to Be Alive.

The last male artist to have an impressive first-week sales run was Justin Timberlake when his 20/20 Experience album debuted at No. 1 with 968,000 copies sold in March 2013.

Drake’s Views was initially released exclusively via iTunes and streamed on Apple Music. Physical copies of the album are now on sale in stores and the project will be available for streaming at other platforms like Spotify and Tidal on May 13. By the time the weekend is done, Drizzy will most likely have sold 1 million units.

On Friday (May 6), Drake went on his Instagram account to thank his fans for making him No. 1 once again. "One million sold in one week. I am beyond grateful for this milestone," he wrote. "Thank you for listening."
