
Diddy, Drake, JAY-Z Top Forbes 2017 Highest Paid Hip Hop Artists List
Yesterday, Forbes dropped its Highest Paid Hip Hop Artists list, tracking the top earners for 2017. While some names on the list are mainstays—Diddy, Drake and Dr. Dre among them—there were a few surprises.
Kendrick Lamar cracked the top 10 this go-around, hitting the #6 spot on the list with $30 million earned this year, spawned by the success of DAMN. and his massive touring schedule. In fact, the publication estimates that K. Dot is pulling in over $1 million per show.
Diddy was on top of the list again, with $134 million earned this year from his numerous ventures, including Ciroc and selling part of his Sean John line. Drake was at #2, earning a cool $94 million, while JAY-Z was at #3 and Dr. Dre was at #4 with $34.5 million. Chance the Rapper rounded out the top 5 with $33 million earned.
Also on the list were Nicki Minaj (#16 with $16 million) and Future at #10 with $23 million). Check out the list of the top 20 earners in hip-hop below.
