The mystery behind the bags of steroids found in Desiigner’s SUV during his arrest last week in New York appears to have been solved. The snoops at TMZ have traced a criminal trail straight to the driver who was chauffeuring the rapper and his fellow passengers.

As we previously reported, the 302 pills in various Ziploc bags found in the car during the arrest were all steroids and they belonged to the driver Scott Siegel. Interestingly, the chauffeur was convicted in 2010 of distribution and possession of anabolic steroids and served 3 years in federal prison. On top of that, Seigel starred in the Mickey Rourke film The Wrestler playing a guy who sells steroids to Rourke's character.

So far, prosecutors are still charging Desiigner with felony possession of a controlled substance and menacing from the incident. But with this bit of news coming to light, it looks like the 19-year-old could be cleared of all charges. We'll have to wait and see.

Attorneys for Desiigner had no comment on the matter.
