David Banner wears many hats, one of those being the man behind the multimedia company, A Banner Vision. With the World Cup underway, it wasn't too surprising when his company was tapped to work on a song for a new Gatorade commercial in support of the worldwide soccer event.

The rapper-producer was tapped to revamp 'Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo,' one of the classic tracks from the Disney version of 'Cinderella.' While the song does sound quite similar to the original, there are clear changes in the transitions within the song, especially when the soccer game is featured at the commercial's end.

The collaboration between A Banner Vision and TBWA\Chiat\Day, the ad agency that enlisted the rapper for the project, wasn't seamless since the partnership has been going on for a few years.

"David Banner has been an asset to me and my clients over the last four years,” said Jayanta Jenkins, Global Creative Director, TBWA\Chiat\Day. "He has an ability to channel a multi-dimensional approach to solving advertising music assignments in ways we didn't know how to ask for. Banner thinks like a musician who is in the moment and not chasing trends or convention. There is never any compromise and he always over delivers, literally. Genuine people aren't easy to come by in the entertainment world. David Banner is the real deal.”

The commercial stars Lionel Messi of Argentina, Spain's Sergio Ramos, David Luzi of Brazil and Landon Donavan, who was recently cut from this year's U.S. team. The ad debuted online in May and premieres on TV and movie screens worldwide this month.
