Dave East Reps the Hood Worldwide in ’30 N—az’ Video [WATCH]
Dave East is one of the hottest rappers in the game that gets plenty of love from the streets and in Hollywood. Case in point: the Harlem representive just released a new video for “30 N---az,” his hard-hitting banger from his Kairi Chanel mixtape.
Directed by Fred Focus, the visual features East hitting the streets of Los Angeles to relay his experience of grinding in the streets to working his way up in the rap game with his intergrity intact. Shot in a blue-ish hue, East spits his introspective bars with L.A. gang members showing their support behind him.
“I'm trying to flex at the dealership / Balmain with the Fendi, that's cinnamon / My bitch from Korea look cinnamon / I mix with a gangster and gentleman,” he spits on the melodic track produced by Buda & Grandz.
East then takes it to his own Harlem neighborhood at night with several of his partners celebrating the 28-year-old rapper's success.
Meanwhile, Hollywood is taking notice of the Def Jam artist. East made his acting debut on BET’s Being Mary Jane on Tuesday night (Jan. 10). In the episode, East appears as himself, a rising rap artist, who is being interviewed by Mary Jane Paul (played by Gabrielle Union) at her new TV gig in New York. The Harlemite wasn't immediately forthcoming with his answers to Jane's questions but he eventually opens up about playing high school basketball.
Fun fact: Dave East was a Division I basketball player who played at both the University of Richmond in Virginia and Towson University in Baltimore.
