Dave East is back and he’s ready to make 2018 his year to shine. The Harlem, N.Y.-based rhymer just dropped his mixtape, P2, which is a follow-up to his previous effort, Paranoia: A True Story.

The 15-song collection features a star-studded guest list that includes T.I. (“Annoying”), Lloyd Banks (“Violent”), Marsha Ambrosius (“Grateful”) and Tory Lanez (“Woke Up”). Productions assists came courtesy of Cardiak, !llmind, Street Symphony, Rico Suave and Joe Joe Beats.

Among the standout tracks including the jazzy "What Made Me," where East recalls his old-school hip-hop memories while growing up in Harlem. On "Violent," the Def Jam artist details a harrowing and gritty street tale.

Finally, on the introspective "Grateful," East gives thanks to the Almighty and vows to rep Harlem World to the fullest. “Thank you, Lord, I’m grateful, Lord,” he spits. “If I got it, I blame you, Lord / My life, it been dangerous, Lord / My faith in you could change it, Lord.”

In support of the P2 mixtape, Dave East is embarking on a tour. The 29-year-old rapper's trek kicks off today (Jan. 16) in New York, and will hit major cities like Boston, Houston, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Los Angeles. The tour wraps up in Sacramento, Calif., on Feb. 1. To check out his full itinerary, head over to Songkick.com.
