Common Confirms He’s Dating Angela Rye: ‘She’s An Incredible Human Being’ [VIDEO]

Love is in the air! After much speculation, Common has confirmed that he is dating political pundit and activist Angela Rye. The duo went public with their romance at the Creative Arts Emmys event last month where Common nabbed a trophy for his "Letter to the Free” song from Ava Duvernay’s documentary, 13th.

Common recently appeared on Bevy Smith’s Bevelations program on Sirius XM Radio Show and he spilled all the tea on their relationship. When Smith asked Com if there’s a connection between him and Rye, he replied, “There’s a definite connection with Angela Rye.”

“She’s a wonder woman, I’m dating, I’m happy right now and she’s an incredible human being,” he added.

Smith was very happy to hear that Common is dating Rye and told the Chicago wordsmith that she hopes to see them have some "Afro-centric, black power Omogunwa babies" in the future.

“That’s the good thing about Angela, too, she’s just a fun person," Common revealed. "She’s obviously is about the mission and about the people...just because you’re conscious and aware don’t mean you got to not have fun. You’re still going to kick it, ’cause that’s part of me too.”
