Some rap veterans refuse to give props to the up-and-coming generation of new rappers. However, Common isn't one of them. In fact, he's gone out of his way to praise the rising artists of today, especially the ones from Chicago.

Common is not just verbally supporting new Chicago acts, he's also including some on his new album cover for 'Nobody's Smiling,' arriving later this year.

The 'Resurrection' creator took to his Instagram account as he was shooting the actual cover to give some details on what to expect. "We shooting the cover for 'Nobody's Smiling'" he states. "The cover and the concept is going to be really incredible. We got other artists from Chicago coming too, but this is the whole.... We're on the endeavor, 'Nobody's Smiling.' Let's go."

Earlier in the year, the G.O.O.D Music member said the concept of the album surrounds all of the violence that's been happening in his hometown.

"It was really a thought that came about because of all the violence in Chicago," Com details. "It happens in Chicago, but it's happening around the world in many ways....We was talking about the conditions of what's happening when I say 'nobody's smiling.' But it's really a call to action."

Could rappers like Chief Keef, Chance the Rapper, Lil Bibby or Tree appear on Common's new LP? Stay tuned to find out.
