Hip-hop and R&B artists are all too familiar with playing roles, as many of them take on acting gigs outside of their respective music careers and even dress up as different characters in their own music videos. While not every rapper or songstress dons a costume when Halloween rolls around, some are more than enthusiastic about getting in the holiday spirit.

Over the weekend, Christina Milian expressed her love for Halloween when she stepped out dressed as a barbarian woman. "Happy Halloween! Getting my Barbarian Woman on!! #THETHINGSWEDOON HALLOWEEN! Lol http://yfrog.com/oea9ooj," she tweeted.

OutKast's Big Boi threw a Halloween bash at the famed Stankonia Studios, where the rap star held his annual Big Kidz Foundation Halloween party. The 'Shutterbugg' creator went all out with face paint that represented the Dias de los Muertos skeletons -- also known as Day of the Dead. In total opposite, his wife sported a Wonder Woman costume. "Mr. And Mrs. Patton ," he wrote via Twitter.

Socialite and fashion designer Nicole Richie paid homage to Jennifer Lopez by rocking a pretty-in-pink velour sweatsuit, placed her blonde tresses in a bun and threw on a pair of shades and large hoop earrings. She took to her Twitter page to show off her costume and posted "My Love Don't Cost a Thing" in the process, referring to J.Lo's hit off her 2001 album, 'J.Lo.' Check out her Halloween look here.

As for rapper-turned-actor Ice-T, he and his wife, Coco hosted the Player's Ball at The Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Ice threw on a Hannibal Lector-inspired prison get-up with accompanying face mask while his lady dressed as a sexy beast for the night. Check out the creepy-looking couple's spooky attire here.
