Chief Keef, ‘I Got Cash': New Music From Jailed Rapper
Chief Keef may be behind bars due to a botched interview with Pitchfork at a gun range, but that isn't stopping his crew from releasing new music from the incarcerated rapper. "I Got Cash" features Dro along with an unusual amount of auto-tune for the Chicago rapper.
In keeping with the spirit of the song title, "I Got Cash" finds Keef bragging about his mountains of moola. Six million dollars worth of it, if reports about the potential value of his deal with Interscope Records are accurate. In that case, bragging is definitely in order.
After his debut album Finally Rich debuted on Interscope last fall, Keef -- born Keith Cozart -- sparked a lot of controversy for a tweet that laughed off the death of a rival and lyrics that celebrate violence.
His most recent brush with the law is a violation of parole for holding a gun, he was previously suspended for pointing a firearm at a police officer.
