Chief Keef is mourning the lost of his cousin Fredo Santana who died on Friday (Jan. 19) from a fatal seizure. According to reports, the Chicago rapper was found by his girlfriend in his Los Angeles home unresponsive.

Keef went on his Instagram account to pay tribute to his beloved cousin. In a now since-deleted post, the Keef posted a photo of himself listening to Santana’s 2017 song “Tell Nobody,” which samples R. Kelly's song "Down Low."

“Now playing” Love you Dude for ever It was good to be able to hug you...," he wrote in the caption.

Santana along with Keef and producer Young Chop are among a long list of rappers who ushered in Chicago’s drill music scene in 2012. Santana released his most recent mixtape, Fredo Kruger 2, in 2017.

Several rappers went on social media to pay tribute to Santana following the news of his tragic death. Drake, Lupe Fiasco, Travis Scott, Wale, Lil B, Gucci Mane and many others saluted the late rapper on social media.
