Cali Swag District are a California rap group enjoying immense popularity with the young folks due to their recent smash 'Teach Me How to Dougie.' Thankfully, they are putting some of that success towards making good in their community. The group will hit Los Angeles' Arleta High School later this month to educate students on the importance of both voter registration and taking to the polls in November.

The appearance will take place on Aug. 31 and will help students register to vote as part of Rock The Vote's Democracy Class program. The group feels that it's their responsibility to make sure their fans are registered and educated on the voting process before the upcoming elections this year.

"We feel it is important that kids realize the power they have with voting, that every person counts," the group told AllHipHop.com in a joint statement. "No matter who you are, where you come from, you have the power to make a difference."

The group, featuring members C Smoove, Yung, Jayare and M-Bone, will also be there to let the kids know about 'The Kickback,' Cali Swag District's record for 319 Music Group/Capitol Records that's set for an Oct. 12 release.

"It's all about shaping your future ... that being said, kids have to stay in school," they continued. "You need that high school diploma. And to us, there is nothing sexier than an educated woman. Rock The Vote was the perfect outlet for us to spread our message."
