With Brandy's forthcoming sixth LP, Two Eleven, arriving this fall, the songstress has been busy performing her sultry, Chris Brown-assisted single "Put It Down" for eager fans awaiting the release of her project. Recently, after taking the stage at the Howard Theater, she visited 93.9 WKYS in Washington, D.C., for a frank discussion about her career and early beginnings.

During the talk, the California native opened up about her childhood, when her dreams of singing stardom first began. Unfortunately not everyone around Brandy supported her efforts, specifically the kids she called "friends" in school.

Watch as Brandy discusses how she was bullied in school here, as well as gives details on her upcoming album, due Oct. 2.
