Big Boi's recent leg injury has caused him to put a stop to his Shoes for Running tour.

The rapper must reschedule several dates on the performance trek as a result of tearing the patella in his left knee during a May 26 show in Chillicothe, Ill., Billboard reports.

"#backoutcheain6weeks," Big Boi wrote as a caption for a photo posted to his Instagram feed, showing himself seated in a wheelchair after surgery.

He also posted an image of himself recuperating at home, a meal positioned in front of him and his leg resting on a chair.

The Shoes for Running tour will resume once Big Boi is back on his feet. All June dates have been rescheduled for September. The new tour stops will be announced shortly.
