Beanie Sigel Is Still Alive, Freeway Updates Rapper’s Condition [PHOTO]

Contrary to widespread Internet rumors, Beanie Sigel is still very much alive. On Christmas Day, fellow Philadelphia rhyme-spitter Freeway went on Instagram to denounce false reports of Beans’ death.

“Don't listen to the rumors @beaniesigelsp is alive & fighting! Please keep him in your Duas thank you!!” wrote Philly Freezer.

According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, it looks as if the Beanie Sigel death rumors was started by a satire website, NahaDaily.com, which we don’t find particularly funny.

The reason why we don’t find it humorous is because Sigel is still hospitalized in critical condition with a life-threatening gunshot wound. The rapper was shot in the chest earlier this month during a family dispute in Pleasantville, NJ. Sigel was not the intended target in the shooting.

Pleasantville Police Chief Jose Ruiz confirmed to NBC10 that Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, is still hospitalized and is breathing through a ventilator.

Authorities still have no suspects or leads in the case. Investigators also remain frustrated because family members aren’t cooperating.

“The detectives have brought a lot of people in for questioning, but unfortunately no one’s talking,” said Pleasantville Police Capt. Rocky Melendez.
