Rapper Bas is a Queens, N.Y., native who made music his life passion. A chance meeting with J. Cole developed into a friendship, which led him to being the flagship artist on Cole’s Dreamville label. On Tuesday (April 29), Bas released his debut album 'Last Winter.'

The eclectic set boasts 13 songs including the guitar-laden 'My N---- Just Made Bail' featuring J. Cole.

On the song, Bas is rejoicing over his friend being released from prison after posting bond.

"My n---- just made bail / I just came up, On some grey 12's / Great health, cheers to that / Do this s--- for Queens got my ears to that," he raps.

"I just wanted to kind of convey a real happy moment," says Bas about the song (quotes courtesy of VIBE). "Even if you haven't been through it, you can understand if your homie gets locked up and he makes bail. It's almost like a celebration -- [like] 'let's go to the strip club!"
