Angie Stone Sets #RelationshipGoals With New Ballad ‘Think It Over’
For more than 15 years, Angie Stone has shared her classic sound with the masses. From her soothing neo-soul track featuring Joe, "More Than a Woman," to greatest hits single, "Stay for a While," featuring Anthony Hamilton, the South Carolina-born singer never disappoints. Thus, the 55-year-old entertainer is returning with a new soulful ballad, "Think It Over."
"Think It Over" is the second single from Stone's seventh album, Dream, and is a clear reminder that great music still exists. Created with a Sunday moods vibe - produced by The Heavyweights & Jason Pennock - and Stone's mellifluous alto vocals, the Southern soul singer uses a timeless conversation to give fans a very relatable relationship track.
"We got some talking to do/'Cause I got a problem with you / I just can't take none of that excuse / Boy what's it gonna be?/Are you committed to me?...Over and over / I give you my shoulder/But s---'s getting heavy too much to carry / And I can't do this no more."
Wondering if she should stay or go, Stone let's her man know she she's all in, but it's up to him to decide if it's worth it. "You, you gotta tell me the truth/'Cause we got too much to lose / I think you're worth it / But baby think it over," she sings.
Angie Stone's latest LP dropped last November and is currently available for purchase on iTunes.
