Andre 3000 Freaked Out Over Playing Jimi Hendrix [VIDEO]

As he continues to promote his new Jimi Hendrix biopic, Andre 3000 took to late night and sat down with 'Late Show with David Letterman.' The rapper talked about making ‘All Is By My Side’ and revealed that he was actually freaked out by the notion of playing a musical legend.

"I got back to my hotel room and was like, 'Man. Why did I take this job?'" Andre remembers asking himself about accepting the complex role. "Who plays Hendrix? He's the coolest person in the world."

Andre also admitted that he wasn't a Hendrix fan as a kid but discovered the icon in his late teens when watching the movie 'Apocalypse Now.' "I was like 'Whoa. What is this?'"
