Alessia Cara is Young and Carefree in the New ‘Wild Things’ Video
Alessia Cara has premiered the video for her latest single "Wild Things."
The video opens with a monologue of Cara explaining her inspiration for the track. "To me, Where the Wild Things Are is a place that exists in our minds. It's a place of liberty, shamelessness. It could take a split second of our lifetime to find it. But once you you do, you'll be free," she says.
She continues to roam her city with her friends, taking polaroid pictures and having jam sessions as she effortlessly sings about being young. She also keeps the "wild" theme as the 19-year-old and her friends throw on animal masks.
"I lose my balance on these eggshells you tell me to tread / I'd rather be a wild one instead / Don't wanna hang around the "in" crowd, the cool kids / Aren't cool to me, they're not cool and we are," she sings.
Cara dropped the video with an "I HOPE U LOVE IT" message to her fans on Instagram. And we must say, we definitely love it the visual so far.
"Wild Things" is from Cara's debut album, Know-It-All, the follow-up to her popular single to "Here," which nabbed the No. 5 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
