AFROPUNK “Carnival of Consciousness” will be in Atlanta this upcoming weekend, Oct 14-16. The three-day festival will feature live music from a number of artists, film, artwork, lots of food and drinks, consumers of black culture and of course, good vibes.

Afropunk Atlanta guarantees an eclectic roster of performers and an audience as diverse as the acts they come to see. The New York Times described this musical event as “the most multicultural festival in the US.”

This year's line-up includes, Tyler The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, SZA, Big FreediaLion Babe, Young Paris, Gallant, Saul Williams, ABRA, Soulection and many more. The line-up schedule will be released via the Afropunk mobile app on iTunes and Google Play.

Besides the live music, festival-goer's can indulge in several other activities. There will be a SPINTHRIFT Market which showcases the best of Atlanta’s maker community. This is where DIY-minded individuals can view a collection of one-of-a-kind items including things like jewelry, natural beauty products, apparel, housewares, books, etc. There will also be dynamic artwork around the festival from visual artists locally from Atlanta, as well as all over the country. And can't forget about the delicious food vendors that will be lined up inside the event.

Afropunk has expanded a significant amount since it first began in Brooklyn, NY. Not only does the festival take place annually now in Brooklyn and Atlanta, it offers dates in Paris and London, too.

If you're in the Atlanta area this weekend, you won't want to miss out on the "Carnival of Consciousness."
