Afrika Bambaataa’s Ex-Bodyguard Claims Hip-Hop Legend Molested ‘Hundreds of Boys’ Since the 1970s
Afrika Bambaataa’s former bodyguard has come forward and accused the hip-hop pioneer of alleged sexual misconduct involving young boys.
In a candid interview with former radio personality Star, Shamsideen Shariyf Ali Bey, a former confidante of Bambaataa, claims that the "Planet Rock" creator has been molesting boys since the 1970s and he witnessed some of it himself.
“This is a heartbreaking situation for true Muslims like myself," he told Star. "I want to say to Nation of Islam who I’m also affiliated with...Bambaataa goes around frontin’ like he’s this man holier than thou and righteous...he’s a f---in' pedophile.”
“And this is coming from his former confidante. This is coming from his former bodyguard," he added.
Elsewhere in the interview, Shariyf Ali Bey goes further into Bambaataa's alleged sexual molestation of young boys.
“There’s always a boy in his house. When he leaves and gets home, there’s always a boy there," he says. "I’ve seen them camped, asking him for money. He travels with late teens, those are the ones he takes overseas with him."
"When I went with him on tour in the states, I’d stay in one room, and he would have boys in the room with him," he continued. "Since the '70s, it’s been hundreds...I can say I’ve walked in on stuff where I say, what the f--- is going on?”
For the record, Bambaataa has denied child molestation allegations from several accusers.
It's time for Bambaataa to defend himself against these latest allegations because this is not a good look for him.
