Monica, Robin Thicke, Lloyd and several other R&B stars rolled out the classics on BET's one-hour holiday special 'A Very BET Christmas' last night (Dec. 11).

Monica, appearing angelic in a white gown, offered up one of the night's most memorable performances -- en emotional rendition of Yolanda Adams' version of 'O Holy Night.'

"Nothin' speaks to your soul like some great music," the 'Everything to Me' singer exclaimed, beginning the night. "Now, when I was growing up, I used to enjoy sneakin' to see if Santa had come early. And of course, he never came early, he came right on time. So today, we invited some of your favorite artists, and members of the BET family, to help make this occasion even more special."

Robin Thicke belted out blue-eyed soul renditions of Irving Berlin's 1942 hit 'White Christmas' -- incidentally the best-selling single of all time -- and R&B standard 'Merry Christmas Baby,' rocking shades and a plaid jacket, backed by a swingin' horn section.

Newcomer Elle Varner also paid tribute to the classics with her cover of Donny Hathaway's 'This Christmas,' boy band upstarts Mindless Behavior performed their single 'Christmas with My Girl,' Lloyd unveiled his entry into the holiday canon 'She's All I Want for Christmas and rap legend Kurtis Blow closed with his X-mas essential 'Christmas Rappin'.'
