YG Forfeits $60,000 Contract and Performs ‘FDT’ at College Show [VIDEO]
YG is a man of conviction. The Compton rhymer signed a $60,000 contract to perform at San Diego State University with only one provision - he couldn’t perform his abrasive song, “FDT” (aka F--- Donald Trump). So what does he do? He performs it any way.
Concertgoers at Friday’s event (March 3) tweeted about YG’s bold move and praised the rapper for not letting the University dictate how he should perform his show. "YG really broke a 60k contract to play FDT. And he said If you a Donald Trump supporter well then... F--- You. This man my idol," wrote one fan.
Complex reports that since the rapper performed the song regardless, he forfeits his $60,0000 contract. We are not sure if SDSU actually didn't pay YG despite the fact that students at the college show had a fantastic time, judging by the photos and tweets on social media.
Irregardless, salute to YG for sticking to his guns and performing the song in spite of SDSU's censorship. March madness, indeed.
