The Red Bull Music Academy World Tour has announced that it will be holding two week-long events in the US, with performances by Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, Black Moon, Mobb Deep, The Diplomats and the Wu-Tang Clan.

On Sept. 12, the Music Academy World Tour touches down in Detroit for a week-long celebration of the Motor City's musical history, including Motown, garage-rock, house and techno, with performances by electronic pioneers Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Mike Banks and more.

Then, from Sept. 25-30, the tour touches down in New York City for its Five Days. Five Boroughs. Five Classic Albums event, which kicks off in Manhattan's Webster Hall on Sept. 25, with a front-to-back performance of Queensbridge rap legends Mobb Deep's 'The Infamous' album, and a special guest set by fellow Queens MC Lloyd Banks, preceded by a discussion of the classic album's creation by Prodigy and Havoc.

On Tues., Sept. 27, Red Bull Music Academy heads to the Paradise Theater in the Bronx, for a discussion and performance of Slick Rick's 1988 debut, 'The Great Adventures of Slick Rick.' The following day, the tour turns to Staten Island for a performance of the Wu-Tang Clan's 'Enter the 36 Chambers' -- sans RZA, Method Man and Inspectah Deck -- at the Eve Ultra Lounge on Sept. 28, preceded again by a conversation with the Wu on the making of their legendary debut, which is sure to be one of the highlights of 2011.

The following day -- crazy, right? -- Black Moon will be representing Brooklyn live at South Paw, on Sept. 29, where they will be performing their classic debut 'Enta Da Stage' -- anyone notice a hip-hop debut trend here? -- alongside fellow Brooklyn MC Big Daddy Kane.

The final show will be taking place on Fri., Sept. 30, at Harlem School of Arts, where The Diplomats will lead a conversation of the making of their group debut, 'Diplomatic Immunity,' which again, is likely not something Dipset fans want to miss -- a discussion of the classic album will be lead by its creators on each day -- then the group will rock 'Diplomatic Immunity' in its entirety, at the Best Buy Theater later that evening.
