Congratulations to Willie D for becoming the latest artist to enter The Boombox Battle Hall of Fame.

Willie D’s controversial track, “Coon,” slams everyone from Stacey Dash to Charles Barkley to CNN personality Don Lemon. The former Geto Boys rapper is unapologetic about how he feels regarding black celebrities who’ve done pretty much anything for the paycheck — even when it’s something that is offensive to the community.

“If you’re sellin’ out your people you’re a coon / If you hate your own kind you’re a coon / Bootlicker’ shuck and jive you’re a coon / You’re a coon, you’re a coon, you’re a coon / If you’re sellin’ out your people you’re a coon / If you hate your own kind you’re a coon / Sambo died slow your a coon / You’re a coon, you’re a coon, you’re a coon,” he delivers on the hook.

Willie had a strong running throughout the four weeks that he competed in The Boombox Battle. He started his journey by going against Nipsey Hussle followed by Chance the Rapper, Dave East and finally clinched the victory against Gucci Mane.

Clearly you can't mess with a legend.

Willie joins a strong group of talent in the Hall of Fame including The Weekend, Post Malone, T-Pain, A$AP Rocky, K. Michelle and Tyler, the Creator.
