Ne-Yo, Jhene Aiko, Ariana Grande & More Cover Disney Classics on 'We Love Disney' Album

Even the biggest hip-hop and R&B heads have a sweet spot for Disney movies. To bring a fresh sound to some classic songs from films like Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Cinderella, Verve Records and Walt Disney Records taps some of the music industry's finest for We Love Disney, a compilation album featuring interpretations of Disney songs.

While Ne-Yo will sing a jazzy big-band version of "Friend Like Me" from Aladdin, Jhene Aiko will head to magical dimensions in her cover of "In a World of My Own / Very Good Advice" from Alice in Wonderland. Ariana Grande, who is coming out of a controversy herself, will cover the Hercules tune "Zero to Hero." Jessie Ware, Jason Derulo, Yuna and Jessie J are among some of the other artist who lend their stellar pipes to the project.

The 16-time Grammy Award-winning producer David Foster will helm the sounds behind the singers. Foster is known for music staples like Earth Wind & Fire's "After the Love Has Gone," Chaka Khan's "Through the Fire," Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You," Brandy's "Have You Ever?" and Monica's "For You I Will."

“In choosing the artists to appear on We Love Disney, we tried to cover the whole spectrum,” Foster said in a press release. ”I wanted great singers. That’s always been my mandate. We set the bar high and everyone who came in absolutely killed it. The vocals on this album are spectacular."

The album isn't due until Oct. 30, but Disney aficionados can pre-order it now on iTunes.
