Twista is mourning the loss of a close friend today. Davy Easterling, the Chicago rapper's security guard, was found shot to death and then burned on the city's South Side. Police are investigating the brutal murder.

On Friday (Feb. 21), Easterling was found dead in an apartment, reports the Chicago Tribune. Twista took to Instagram to share his sadness over the incident. "#RIP Davy Easterling aka 6'9 I have lost too many good friends to these streets," 'The Perfect Storm' creator wrote.

Prior to news of the killing, the rhymer posted a note on social media that Easterling was missing and he was worried. "A close friend of mine has been missing for the past 48hrs, his name is 6'9 he does security work for us. If you have any information on where he is please call 888-679-9611. We are all worried and pray for his safe return," Twista wrote.

According to the Tribune, the Chicago Fire Department's Office of Fire Investigations has determined that the fire was incendiary, which means that it was started by a person and not natural causes. Police are investigating the homicide.
