Timbaland has been tapped to score a CG-animated film, Groove Tails.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Timbo will work with music marketing agency, Jungle Punks, to develop the sounds for the movie.

But instead of dealing with "Lyons" the upcoming flick will follow a different animal - a mouse. Groove Tails will feature the voice of Jamie Foxx playing a street dancing mouse who is "forced to enter the world of competitive street-dancing to pay an outstanding cheese debt." It definitely sounds like an adventure so far.

This will be Timbaland's second scoring project along with creating music for Fox's hit drama series, Empire. The 44-year-old producer isn't the first music artist to produce music for an animated film though.

Studio wizard Pharrell Williams not only composed the score for Despicable Me, he also nabbed a Best Pop Solo Performance Grammy for the film's track, "Happy," in 2015. Rihanna also dropped some vocals for the DreamWorks animation flick, Home. Frequent Timbaland collaborator Justin Timberlake is executive producing, writing and performing original music for the movie Trolls, which hits theaters in the fall.

Hip-hop producers are certainly getting their shine in Hollywood as well. Dr. Dre is also slated to score a graphic novel adaptation for the LOADED series.
