Tamar Braxton experienced a health crisis and was rushed to the hospital before her performance on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars on Monday night (Nov. 9).

At the opening of the show, host Tom Bergeron informed viewers that the singer would not be dancing because she was taken to the hospital during dress rehearsals. Braxton’s dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, told Us Weekly that she was hospitalized due to exhaustion and sick with pneumonia.

The 38-year-old The Real host had a busy week of juggling dance rehearsals, co-hosting her talk show and performing a few previously scheduled concerts. According to reports, Braxton was sick for the past two weeks.

Thankfully, she returned to the show to avoid elimination. Along with fellow contestant Nick Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess, she performed a Cirque du Soleil number from the Beatles' Love. Afterward, the group, received a score of 27 out of 30 for their performance thanks to Braxton's resilience despite being ill.

"She was unstable," said Carter who helped a very sick Braxton get through her performance. "I had to really put her first and assume that responsibility and really just kind of make sure that she was taken care of."

Braxton hasn't addressed her recent hospitalization.
