T.I. won't be home for Christmas, but that isn't stopping him from spreading a little holiday cheer. In a message posted on his website, the Grand Hustle CEO took a little time to say a few kinds words in time for the holiday season, prior to his incarceration.

"Happy Holidays on behalf of myself, Grand Hustle and the powers that be," T.I. says in the video. "I want everybody to be safe and hold it down. I'll be back before you know it."

Despite being locked up, T.I. has managed to update the public on his status as he completes a one-year sentence for violating his probation in September. Upon the release of his seventh album 'No Mercy,' Tip thanked his fans for their support. The album landed at the No. 4 spot on the Billboard charts, selling 159,000 units in its first week. His wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, also revealed that he calls her twice a day and sends emails, but is only allowed limited access to the Internet.

This time last year, T.I was wrapping up a bid at the same Arkansas prison where he is currently serving time. The return trip took a toll on the 29-year-old who expressed his frustration towards his predicament while taking responsibility for his actions. "This experience is truly a pain I have never felt before and that's saying a lot for a n---- who's been down locked up as many times as I have," he wrote on his site. "I see this as a real a-- whoopin'. The kind you don't just go back outside to play afterwards. You take ya a-- to bed and don't come out of your room until it's time to go to school."
