T.I. to Unleash ‘Uncaged’ Album Earlier Than Planned
The album delay cycle is just another byproduct of the fickle music industry, so when a studio project is hit with an earlier release date than originally scheduled, all parties usually rejoice.
On Friday (April 23), T.I. announced via Twitter, that his upcoming album 'King Uncaged' would hit stores on August 17, one week earlier than originally planned. "Oh Yeah...The album date is pushed up 8.17.10. -- King Uncaged," he wrote. TIP, who completed the terms of his prison sentence in March, originally announced an August 24 release date for his seventh studio project, just two weeks ago.
The album's first single 'I'm Back,' was released on March 8, and the video is set to premiere on his website, TrapMuzik.com at 2PM on Monday, April 26. The Grand Hustle Records CEO has been working overtime in the studio since he's returned home. Before the upcoming LP sees an official release, T.I. will also drop a new street compilation with DJ Drama titled 'F--- a Mixtape.'
