T.I. Takes Fans on His ‘Road to Redemption’
Rapper T.I. has racked up 864 of his court appointed 1,000 hours of community service in an effort to make good on his plea arrangement and clean up his image. His new MTV reality show 'Road to Redemption: 45 Days To Go' will not add to that number, but, hopefully, the show's educational premise will enlighten audiences.
"This show is in addition to (that)," the Atlanta native recently confirmed in an interview. Filming on the reality show began in June of last year will continue through March of this year.
T.I. has until March 27 to complete all 1,000 hours and has been criss-crossing the country educating teens about the dangers of violence before beginning his one year prison sentence. In 2007 he was arrested in Atlanta for allegedly purchasing firearms which is illegal for a convicted felon.
Alongside his busy schedule T.I. released his sixth album 'Paper Trail' last September. The album has sold over 1.5 million units to date. 'Road to Redemption: 45 Days To Go' premiers on MTV on February 10.
